I used to daydream for hours while looking at my mom's "the house book" as a kid. I knew the dog-eared copy was still somewhere at my mom's place, and I was intent to find it again. I recently visited my mom's house, uncovered the book (dusting in the garage for years and years), and was going to take it with me when I moved abroad (where I am now). I was on my way to the airport and got in a car accident-- the book destroyed.
Thanks for posting about it. The pictures bring back so many memories. Im sad I lost mine and would love to find another....How did you get your copy? Does your book have a brick patterned cover, or the picture with the house windows on it? (I've seen both but dont know if they have the same content inside, the scans you posted are definitely in the copy that I owned). Merci!
